The missing St. John's student has been found alive and well, New York City police said Tuesday.

Erica Desai, 19, called 911 Monday night from a pay phone in Coney Island after seeing herself on television, police said.

The freshman told police she had been abducted, but under further questioning here story fell apart and she admitted she had met a guy and run away rather than tell her family about her problems at school.

Police said school officials told them she had been caught using someone else's ATM card and was suspended.

Desai had been missing since Jan. 20, when a cousin dropped her off at her dorm, near Union Turnpike and Utopia Parkway.

Police later released surveillance video of a man and a woman withdrawing money from a midtown ATM using Desai's card. Police now say that woman was Desai.
