Police arrested 11 people after a fight broke out at the Nassau University Medical Center Emergency Room in East Meadow Saturday morning.

Authorities say officers responded to the Long Island medical center after a crowd began arguing around 12:30 a.m.
The arrested, described as being both men and women in their 20s, were trying to visit Rudy Montour, 23, a murder suspect who had been shot earlier that night by police during a chase.
Police were called after the group tried to enter the emergency room and were aggressive toward the staff. Once the police arrived the crowd threatened them and back up units were called in.
When police tried to arrest one individual, Kadeen McDonald, 21, of Hempstead, the suspect struck an officer and fractured the officer’s hand. McDonald was then placed into custody and charged with assault in the second degree.
The other defendants were Timothy Fenner, 21, of Uniondale, Genevieve Mamouzette, 22, of Hempstead, Jason Fraser, 20, of Freeport, Derick Hernandez, 20, of Roosevelt, Andre Warsop, 23, of Hempstead, Marcus Spooner, 21, of Hempstead, Jeremy Pryor, 20, of Hempstead, Terrance Pinkard, 21, of Far Rockaway, Gary Mosley, 19, of Roosevelt and Celena Lewis, 24, of Jamaica.
Those arrested were charged with riot, obstructing governmental and resisting arrest. All 11 individuals pleaded not guilty.
No hospital staff was injured.
