This week on Eye on the E-A-G-L-E-S! we head up to Hope Lodge in Northeast Philly where Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper helps patients smile in the face of cancer.
As part of Community Tuesday, the Philadelphia Eagles joined forces with Teva Pharmaceuticals and the Cathy Miller Cancer Fund to provide an evening of food and fun for current cancer patient residents and caregiveers at the Hope Lodge.
The Hope Lodge is a facility that offers free lodging to individuals undergoing cancer treatment in the Philadelphia area. Since its opening in 2009, the Cathy Miller Cancer Fund has been a sponsor to the Lodge, which has helped more than 5700 cancer patients and their families save over $3 million.
