This weekend, the Chicago Gospel Festival and Pride Parade move from their previous locations to expand and add comfort for crowds.
Chicago’s Gospel Festival begins Thursday, June 21st through Sunday June 24th. The festival has moved to the Pritzker Pavillion, Chicago Cultural Center and Ellis Park from their previous spot at Millennium Park. Audiences can listen to headliners, Take 6, Blind Boys of Alabama, Fred Hammond, and Mary Mary.
On the other side of town, the Chicago Pride Parade moves back a block this year to the corner of Broadway and Montrose in Uptown. The parade will start southeast on Halsted and continue south down the Boytown strip. The five block attachment will create room for the large crowds and advance time for blocked streets to re-open. Spectators can go to the Pride Parade on Sunday, June24th at 12 noon.
