No charges will be filed against Cubs shortstop Starlin Castro after a woman accused him of sexual assault last fall.

According to Cook County State’s Attorney Spokesperson Sally Daly, the state’s attorney’s office and the Chicago Police Department conducted a comprehensive investigation and found insufficient evidence to bring forth criminal charges.

A woman accused Castro of assault after he allegedly met her at a River North nightclub last September and returned with him to his home nearby.

According to the Chicago Tribune,  the lawyer for Castro’s accuser, Paul Zido, said he was disappointed by the prosecutors’ decision not to pursue charges.
