A Chicago man who was just about two months away from finishing up a boot camp sentence for burglary will be spending additional time in jail after escaping over the weekend.

Police say Jamall Allen, 20, took off from the Cook County Sherrif's Boot Camp early Sunday morning and was on the run for six hours before he was caught.

Officials believe he scaled a barbed wire fence. Officers found him less than five miles away last night.

No one was injured and Allen did not pose a threat to the public.

Allen had just 72 days left to complete his sentence.
