Stars gathered in Chicago Friday night for a gala to benefit the new Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital.
Actress Sarah Jessica Parker is serving as the gala's emcee andHarry Connick Jr. is performing at the event.
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin, Bears coach Lovie Smith, Cubs owner Tom Ricketts and former-Bulls star Scottie Pippen are also expected to attend the $10,000-a-plate fundraiser.
Friday is the first time that donors are seeing the hospital, which is set to open by June.
