Third Suspect in Tangipahoa Parish Home Invasion / Murder Arrested in St. Tammany Parish

HAMMOND, LA – Sheriff Daniel Edwards of the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office reports that the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force captured the third suspect in a home invasion which left a local resident dead and her husband in the hospital earlier this week.

Ronald Dean Bandy Jr. (7200 Bundy Rd, New Orleans – DOB: 10/21/1984) has been arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail as a fugitive from Tangipahoa Parish.

The US Marshals Service contacted the St. Tammany Sheriff's Office this morning as the hunt for Bandy entered St. Tammany Parish. At approximately 8:30 AM, STPSO Deputy Sheriffs and Deputy US Marshals went to 2204 Oriole Dr., Slidell, (off Thompson Rd.) where Bandy was suspected to be hiding. Bandy was taken into custody after being located in hiding between a mattress and box spring in one of the residence's bedrooms deputies stated.

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office Detectives and St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office investigators executed search warrants at the residence. St. Tammany deputies also arrested the couple renting the Oriole street home. Stephanie (DOB: 9/24/1976) and Christopher (DOB: 2/8/1975) Coste were booked with accessory after the fact. Mrs. Coste was also booked with simple possession of marijuana. Bond has not yet been set on the Costes.

Bandy will be transported to Tangipahoa Parish later this evening where he will be booked and charged with home invasion, first degree murder and attempted first degree murder.
