Why the Hornets trade involving Okafor and Ariza is a good one

Ed Daniels' ED-itorial

When the hornets landed the first pick in the draft, Emeka Okafor, with his $28 million owed over the next two seasons, was a goner.

And when Monty Williams benched Trevor Ariza for the last ten games of the season to play Al Farouq Aminu, Ariza was as good as gone.

With Okafor gone, speculation is rampant that the Hornets will pick a center to pair along with Anthony Davis.

The Hornets are an organization that covets big people, but what they really need is an electric distributor who can get the ball to a pair of franchise players: Anthony Davis and Eric Gordon.
