Former LSU Tiger David Toms is in contention after a second consecutive 68 at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Toms made four consecutive birdies Friday on holes 12 thru 15. He is two shots behind leader Jerry Kelly, who is at 10 under par.

Toms won the New Orleans event at English Turn in 2001. He's not fared well at the TPC of Louisiana but hopes to change that this weekend. Said Toms, "Anytime you go to a city where people are pulling for you and you don't play well, it can be very frustrating."

Saturday Toms is paired with Charley Hoffman, who is 9 under one shot back of the leader. Toms and Hoffman tee off at 12:47 pm.

Troy Matteson, who shot 64 and is also 9 under par thru two rounds, will play with Jerry Kelly in the final pairing in Avondale.
