Chris Paul scored 26 points, handed out 9 assists, and grabbed 5 rebounds as New Orleans beat the Suns 100-95 Wednesday night at New Orleans Arena. David West and Emeka Okafor each scored 16 points for the Hornets, 40-30.
The Hornets took a 71-52 lead in the third. Phoenix narrowed that margin to 4 with 21.4 seconds to play on a three pointer by Chris Dudley.
The Hornets host the Boston Celtics Saturday night. For Boston, that game witll be the second of a back to back. Boston plays at Houston Friday night.
