NEW ORLEANS—In the January 9th BCS championship game, the edge doesn't necessarily go to Alabama.
The Tide lost to the LSU Tigers 9-6 in overtime in Tuscaloosa November 5th. But, LSU guard Will Blackwell said the Tigers have more motivation than just winning the BCS championship game. He says the Tigers shouldn't have to beat Alabama, again. Said Blackwell, "We kinda have a chip on our shoulder. We went to Tuscaloosa and beat them, yet they get another shot. We don't necessarily think it is fair. If it were the other way around, we wouldn't be getting this opportunity."
Alabama is a one point favorite for the BCS championship, Monday night January 9th at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
Both teams arrive in New Orleans Wednesday.
