Deron Williams scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half as the Utah Jazz
defeated the New Orleans Hornets 98-90 Wednesday night at New Orleans Arena.
Hornets forward David West, in foul trouble all night, had 5 fouls and only 5 points.
Darren Collison, starting again in place of the injured Chris Paul, scored 24 points and handed out 9 assists. Rookie guard Marcus Thornton scored 14 points for the Hornets, now 28-26.
Paul Millsap came off the bench to lead the Jazz with 24 points. Peja Stojakovic scored 24 points for the Hornets. He, Collison, and Thornton were the only Hornets to reach double figures.
The Hornets host Indiana Friday night.
