NEW ORLEANS—On Mardi Gras, the Hornets came within a whisker of their own celebration, far from home.
Trevor Ariza's jump shot with 5.4 seconds to play tied the game. But, Indiana went on a 10-0 run in overtime to post a 117-108 win. Indiana won for the 20th time this season. The Hornets lost for the 25th time in 32 games.

But, Indiana got a career high 30 points from All Star center Roy Hibbert. Hibbert also grabbed 13 rebounds. Former Hornet Darren Collison scored 18 for the Pacers. Former Hornet David West, who opted out of the final year of his contract last fall, scored 16 points. Former Grace King high school star Danny Granger tallied 14 points.
The Hornets play at Cleveland Wednesday night, their final game before the All Star break.
