The New Orleans Hornets destroyed the Atlanta Hawks 100-59 Friday night. Chris Paul scored 16 points and dished out eight assists in leading New Orleans to its seventh straight win.
Once again the Hornets dominated defensively, holding the Hawks to 29.1 percent shooting.
David West and Marco Belinelli both scored 15 points and Emeka Okafor had12 rebounds. Hawks center Jason Collins after a hard foul on David West in the opening minute of the third quarter.
New Orleans improve to 28-16 this season. The Hornets will host the San Antonio Spurs Saturday night. The Spurs have won eight consecutive games, and have the NBA's best record at 37-6.
