The New York Giants still haven't solved the New Orleans Saints.

Drew Brees threw four touchdown passes and ran for another as the Saints routed the Giants 49-24 Monday night at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The win moved the Saints to 8-3 on the season and kept the club in the lead in the NFC South by one game over the Atlanta Falcons.

The final score and stats were remarkably similar to the whipping the Saints put on the Giants at the Superdome on October 18th, 2009.

Then, the Saints won 48-27. Brees threw four touchdown passes and the Saints put the game away with 20 second quarter points.

Monday night, the Saints scored 21 second quarter points. Brees' second touchdown pass to Lance Moore, of 10 yards, gave the Saints a 21-3 halftime lead. Brees threw four touchdown passes, 2 to tight end Jimmy Graham, and ran 8 yards for a touchdown to give the Saints a 28-10 third quarter lead.

Brees completed 24 of 38 passes for 363 yards.

Eli Manning, a New Orleans native, completed 33 of 47 passes for 406 yards, and two touchdowns, both to wide receiver Victor Cruz.

The Saints host Detroit Sunday night.
