David West scored 15 of his 22 points in the second half as the Hornets beat the Charlotte Bobcats 89-73 Wednesday night at New Orleans Arena.

Emeka Okafor scored 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Chris Paul dished out 14 assists as the Hornets snapped a two game losing streak. The Hornets had lost in Oklahoma City Monday night, and Sunday afternoon in New Orleans against the Spurs.

The Bobcats, playing without suspended forward Stephen Jackson, scored only four points over the final 9:04 of the game. The Hornets closed the game on an 18-4 run.

The Hornets and Bobcats played before an announced crowd of 10,866. It was the 6th straight game the Hornets played to a home crowd of less than 15,000.

The Hornets are now 8-1 at home this season, 13-5 overall.
