Hornets forward David West scored 40 points, including 7 straight in the 4th quarter as the Hornets rallied from 18 points down in the second half to beat Orlando Friday night, 100-93.
The Hornets (31-28) snapped a two game losing streak.
West was 16 of 24 from the field. Early in the 4th he knocked down a three pointer to pull the Hornets within one. Then West scored a layup on a pass from guard Darren Collison to put New Orleans up 81-80.
Reserve center Aaron Gray
had 6 4th quarter points. He also held Orlando center Dwight Howard
to only one fourth quarter field goal in three attempts.
Thornton scored 18 points, Collison 16 for New Orleans.
The Hornets play at Dallas Sunday night.
