Saints running back Reggie Bush made an appearance in New Orleans for the first time since he created a controversy by tweeting “Its been fun New Orleans.” The tweet came after the Saints drafted Alabama running back Mark Ingram in the first round of the draft.
Saturday morning, at his annual football camp at Tulane, Bush apologized for offending some Saints fans.
“I probably shouldn't have tweeted that.” Said Bush, “I probably shouldn't have said that. I'm sure a lot of people took it the wrong way and I apologize to the city of New Orleans if they have. First and foremost, for me, is to remain a New Orleans Saint and hopefully retire here.”
He also understands he's not worth the 11.8 million dollars he's owed next season. He says he’s open to restructuring his current deal after the lockout is over.
“Obviously we know that there is going to have to be some type of pay cut.”
