Schools:

Nunez Community College has cancelled classes after 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 9. Classes will resume Wednesday morning.

The Orleans Parish School Board will dismiss classes early on Feb. 9. Students will be dismissed and released to parents beginning at 1:30 p.m. and bus service will be provided to students who need transportation to their homes. Teachers and staff will remain at the school site during the afternoon to supervise any student whose parents must make arrangements for pick-up.

Algiers Charter Schools Association announced that students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m., after lunch on Feb. 9. Students will be released to parents and regular bus service will be provided to students who need transportation to their homes.

The Jefferson Parish School System and its offices will close two hours early on Feb. 9. A letter will be sent home to parents informing them that all after care programs will also close early tomorrow. Athletic games will take place as scheduled and if there is a problem schools can mutually agree to reschedule.

City Offices:

The Sewerage and Water Board Main Administration Building will close at 3 p.m. Feb. 9.

City of Slidell offices will close at noon on Feb. 9. Essential personnel will remain on duty. Offices will resume normal hours Wednesday morning.

St. Tammany Parish Administrative Offices will close at noon on Feb. 9, with the exception of essential personnel. The public is asked to call the offices from which they need service before coming in Tuesday afternoon. All offices will be open until noon. Essential personnel will remain on duty.
