There was talk of a sweep at the beginning of the first round playoff series between the Hornets and the Lakers, but after Sunday's series opener if there's a sweep, then the Hornets would be holding the broom.
They won 109 to 100 in L.A. and played almost an error-free game, holding the Lakers' big men to small numbers.
The only dark cloud in the victory was Aaron Gray's ankle. The team says it's a mild sprain and the trainers are watching him closely to see if he can play Wednesday night in game two.
That brings us to our question of the day: Are you paying more attention to the Hornets after their big win against the Lakers? Post your answer below in the comments section.
