By submitting an entry, each entrant warrants that he or she is the original author of the work, agrees to allow WGN Radio to read and/or publish his/her email essay on the air or on its website and warrants that he or she has permission from his/her company's management to enter the contest. On Friday, November 19, 2010, WGN Radio staff will review all eligible entries and choose the grand prize winner, based upon the originality (50%) and human-interest appeal (50%) of the entry. On or around Tuesday, November 23, John will announce the grand prize-winning entry on-air. The entrant's company will be declared the grand prize winner and awarded a holiday party for up to 100 people at Gibson's Steakhouse-Oakbrook to take place on Monday, December 13, 2010 from 5-8pm. Winning company must have 100 employees or less to be eligible to win. Winning company is subject to rules and eligibility verification and must be approved by winning company management. WGN Radio reserves the right to publish the grand prize winning entry on its website.

Contest Deadlines: The e-mail essay portion of this contest will begin at 9am CST on Monday, November 8, 2010 and end at 3pm CST on Friday, November 19, 2010. All essay entries must be submitted before 3pm CST on Friday, November 19, 2010.

The judging portion of this contest will begin at 3pm CST on Friday, November 19, 2010 and end on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 5pm. The grand prize winner will be announced on or around Tuesday, November 23, 2010 during the John Williams Show (weekdays 12:30-3pm, CST).

Prizes: One (1) grand prize winner will receive a company holiday party for up to 100 people at Gibson's Steakhouse-Oakbrook to take place on Monday, December 13, 2010 from 5-8pm. Party includes food, gratuity and non-alcoholic beverages. Value of the prize is $5,000.

Winning company will be responsible for any applicable taxes and all other expenses related to the grand prize that are not mentioned above.

Eligibility: This contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Winning company must be located in the Chicagoland metropolitan area. Winning company must have 100 employees or less to be eligible to win. Employees of WGN Radio, Gibsons Restaurant Group, their affiliated companies and members of their immediate families living in the same household are ineligible. By entering, the winner agrees to release WGN Radio, sponsors and their affiliated companies from any claim, loss, liability, damage or injury of any kind, arising from his or her participation in this Contest, or his/her receipt or use of the contest prize. By entering, the winner warrants that WGN will have full permission, without further compensation, to use the entrant's name, voice, photograph, likeness, and the entrant's essay entry for broadcast and promotional purposes in connection with the contest.

Prizes will not be awarded, even if announced, if the contestant is not eligible in accordance with these rules.

Miscellaneous: By participating, contestants agree WGN Radio has the sole right to determine winners of the contest and all matters and disputes related to the contest, and that its determination will be final and binding. All entries become the property of WGN Radio and cannot be returned. WGN Radio reserves the right to delay contest announcements, postpone or reschedule all or some of the contest events, or modify contest deadlines and/or modify contest deadlines if breaking news, sports coverage or other unanticipated events preempt regular programming. If such changes occur, they will be posted on the wgnradio.com website. WGN will not be responsible for telephone systems delays or malfunctions, faulty internet transmission or receipt of email entries, or for delays or failures incident to internet transmission of radio broadcasts.
