Time’s ticking to be a part of the largest annual outdoor dancing series in the United States, Chicago SummerDance, which wraps up September 16th. Presented by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, Chicago SummerDance brings people of all ages and skill levels together on the 4,900 square-foot, open-air dance floor made of 100% recycled materials each summer. The event starts with an hour-long lesson by professional instructors, followed by an open dance floor. Live bands play everything from jazz to samba…ballroom to country. Get your dancing shoes on Thursday, Friday or Saturday evenings, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday afternoons from 4 to 7 p.m., weather permitting. You’ll find the dance floor on the east side of Michigan Ave between Balbo and Harrison. http://www.explorechicago.org/city/en/things_see_do/event_landing/special_events/dca_tourism/Chicago_SummerDance.html/Grab a bite before or a drink after just down the block at one of the city’s best Gastro Pubs, The Gage - http://www.thegagechicago.com/
