The National Weather Service said on Tuesday that a gale warning is in effect from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the Maryland portion of the Chesapeake Bay and the tidal Potomac River. NWS said areas affected include Sandy Point and the Patapsco River, including Baltimore Harbor. The gale warning may be extended into Tuesday evening, NWS said. Expect showers and a possible thunderstorm, mainly after 2 p.m., on Tuesday with a high near 59. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent with less than a 10th of an inch of rainfall expected.
