Rustburg traveled to William Byrd Friday night.
The crowd got an eyeful of offensive football from the home team. Palmer contributed to the cause right away.
In the second, with his team up 21 to 7, the senior busted up the middle and broke the big one up the near side, outrunning anyone in his path. The play went for 86 yards and it was a back breaker for the Devils. Byrd led to a 27 to 7 cushion at halftime. Palmer accounted for more than 200 yards in the first half alone.
Rustburg fought hard to keep it close. But the Big Orange stuffs 'em on 4th and one to maintain control.
The Terriers rode Palmer most of the night. He kept it himself from the 17 yard line and scored for the 4th time in the game. It was 33 to 7.
Palmer was finished scoring, but the offense kept the chains moving and chewed up the clock, rushing for more than 300 yards on their way to a 33 to 14 win.
