The Glenvar Highlanders gave up a boatload of points last week against William Byrd.  Tonight Coach Kevin Clifford was hoping his team would be a little more stingy against Three Rivers foe Floyd County.

Clifford's Glenvar team started the party right in this one.   On fourth and three from inside the red zone, Jacob Mabry takes it around the far side, breaks a tackle and gets a tough first down run inside the five.

Bradley Muse finished things off, giving Glenvar the lead less than four minutes in on the three yard run, it was 7-0 Highlanders.

The Buffaloes would strike back though.  Matt Hollandsworth makes the catch in the corner of the end zone on the nicely thrown ball from Gus Underwood and it was 7-6 after the failed PAT.

Floyd would pump it up on defense as well, falling on the loose rock after the Highlanders cough it up...the Buffs would turn the miscue into points.

Dorian Harris takes off with a burst of speed from the Glenvar 31, he's looking for the corner, and he's got it on the impressive touchdown run to give Floyd the lead.

But in the end Glenvar wins it 35 to 18.
