  19. Memorial Day weekend dog show in Hampton features 1,500 canines

    Get a sniff of our own Westminster experience at the Virginia Memorial Day Cluster All-Breed Dog Show in Hampton. The three-day show will feature more than 1,500 dogs in AKC Rally trials, a junior showmanship clinic and a Best Puppy in Show competition. The show will take place at the Hampton Roads Convention Center from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. During the show weekend, check out more than 30 vendors offering pet merchandise unique to the Hampton Roads region. There also will be a new AKC owner and handler series on Saturday and Sunday, and special guided tours of the dog show are available upon request. Tickets to the show cost $5 for adults and $3 for seniors, military and children ages 3 to 16. Children ages 2 and younger are free.
