    George M. Krupa, 65, Jerome, died unexpectedly April 22, 2012, at his home. Born April 9, 1947, in Johnstown. Son of Ted and Julia (Phillips) Krupa. Preceded in death by parents, son-in-law Larry Wickens, mother-in-law Florence Walat and brother-in-law Jimmy Klebonis. Survived by wife of 39 years, the former Anita Walat, daughter Melissa Krupa, Arlington, Va., sisters Barbara married to Richard Froehlich, Johnstown Patricia married to Andrew Marcinko, Hollsopple, and Julianna Klebonis, Kuogue, N.Y., brother John married to former Terry Brown, Grand Ledge, Mich., father-in-law Casimir “Chizzie” Walat, Boswell, sister-in-law Janie Walat and special friend Dave Schneider, Boswell, and brother-in-law Marty Walat married to former Karen Long, Stoystown, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and godchildren. A 1965 graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School where he was a member of the football and basketball teams. A U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam era. He also served with the 458th Engineers Battalion Army Reservists. An electrician for IBEW Local 5, Pittsburgh. Member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville, Jerome Post 802 American Legion, Jenner Rod & Gun Club and Polish Falcons of America 556, Jerome where he served as president for many years. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and was an avid Penn State fan. George was a very generous person who always put others ahead of himself. He also had a great sense of humor and was a terrific storyteller. George was a loving husband and father.  His daughter Missy was the light of his life.  He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville where a vigil for the deceased will be held 3 p.m. Thursday.  Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Friday at All Saints Catholic Church, Boswell with Rev. Fr. Justin A. Ratajczak, OFM Conv. celebrant. Military rites by the Somerset County Honor Guard. Donations in George’s memory may be sent to St. Andrew’s Catholic School, 1621 Ferndale Ave., Johnstown, PA 15905 or to a charity of your choice.
