The weakest part of Barack Obama's resume was always national defense. His was the life of a community organizer with stops at Harvard Law, a private law firm, the Illinois legislature and the U.S. Senate. The typical issues followed suit: community development, housing, civil rights. Defense issues were never on the radar, with the possible exception of a relationship with anti-war bombers Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.
