Walt Disney World is located in Central Florida, in the incorporated cities of Lake Buena Vista and Bay Lake, in southwestern Orange County, and a portion of unincorporated northwest Osceola County. The resort was founded with the opening of the Magic Kingdom theme park in 1971, and now features three other theme parks, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios (which was originally called Disney-MGM Studios) and Disney's Animal Kingdom.
