Matthew Centrowitz ran a personal-best in the 1,500-meter run at the IAAF Diamond League meeting in Monaco on Friday. The Broadneck graduate and 2012 Olympian finished ninth, running in three minutes, 31.09 seconds. The winner, Kenya's Silas Kiplagat, finished in 3:27.64. Centrowitz ran for Oregon after high school and finished fourth in the 1,500 in the 2012 London Olympics. He won a silver medal in the 2013 World Championships (3:36.78) and bronze at the 2011 World Championships.
