Hereford's Mathew Tracey and Perry Hall's Gabriella Corbett were presented Allied Sports Scholarships by Baltimore County Public Schools at a ceremony Tuesday morning in Greenwood.
Tracey is the fifth recipient of the Brittney Reese Allied Sports Scholarship, which began in 2013. Reese, a 2012 Olympic Gold medalist in the long jump, is a sponsor along with former Woodlawn track and field coach Mark Pryor.
The scholarship is awarded annually to an allied athlete or student assistant who has displayed great sportsmanship, character and overcome obstacles.
