  23. Boys Athlete of the Week: Vince Ciattei, Perry Hall, track and field

    The senior standout dominated the distance races at Saturday's Pikesville Track Classic, setting new meet records in the 800- and 1600-meter races. Ciattei, an All-Metro first-team selection in cross country and indoor track this year, ran the 800 in 1:53.42 to better the previous meet mark (1:56.33) by nearly three seconds. The time also set a new school record. In the 1600, his time of 4:14.39 was more than three seconds better than the previous meet record of 4:17.44. In indoor track, Ciattei won Class 4A state titles in the 1600 (state record time of 4:14.61) and 3200. In cross country, he finished third in the Class 4A state championship.
