In 1983, Dulaney High School distance runner Brian Russo set the school record in the 3,200 meters in a time of 9:17 in an outdoor track meet. Thirty-two years later, Dulaney coach Chad Boyle thinks Lions junior Eric Walz can break the record this spring. In fact, if the Class 4A state indoor track championship track meet had not been postponed six days because of snow, Boyle thinks he might have broken it at the Prince Georges Sports and Learning Complex on Feb. 23.
