Federer, Nadal, Murray endure 'heatwave' to start Wimbledon with a win

LONDON Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal raced away to winning starts as nervous Wimbledon officials endured a "heatwave" day on the lawns while Andy Murray had to struggle to advance into the second round. With temperatures heading toward a relatively modest 86 degrees, it was battle stations for tennis bosses, whose pale-skinned public is not accustomed to such torrid temperatures. While the WTA "heat rule" (for women only) was in effect but not used, men just played on unaffected.
