American hopeful Taylor Fritz on the rise

Just three years ago Taylor Fritz was a high school freshman playing basketball in San Diego and donating about an hour a day to tennis, when he was invited to train with 15 other American juniors at the USTA Training Center in Boca Raton.

He was crushed by all of them, including Stefan Kozlov of Pembroke Pines, Tommy Paul of Boca Raton and 6-foot-11 Reilly Opelka. That's when Fritz came to an epiphany that helped him become the top-ranked junior in the world in 2015 and to being the latest/next great American hope in professional tennis.
