Former Pro Tennis Player, Nutmegger James Blake, To Play In Connecticut Open

One of Connecticut's own will be on the courts at The Connecticut Open later this month, and he can't wait. James Blake, who grew up in Fairfield and retired from professional tennis two years ago, is one of a quartet of former players who will play each other in the men's legends event, which is part of the professional tournament at the Connecticut Tennis Center at Yale in New Haven, opening Aug. 21. Blake, who will play Andy Roddick on Aug. 27 (John McEnroe and Jim Courier play on Aug. 28), is in the midst of moving from Connecticut to California, but considers the Nutmeg State his home turf.
