On the heels of six dominant innings against Reservoir in the 3A state semifinals on Tuesday, Huntingtown’s Tori Fletcher said she could see the finish line.
And, three outs away from the Hurricanes’ third straight trip to the state championship game, Fletcher wanted to leave no doubt.
After allowing a leadoff single, the junior pitcher buckled down and struck out the side in the top of the seventh to close the door on a 6-0 victory over the Gators at Bachman Softball Park.
