Ohio State junior Kyle Snyder of Woodbine beat Wisconsin's Connor Medbery, 6-3, to win his second straight NCAA heavyweight championship on Saturday night in St. Louis.
Snyder, who attended Good Counsel, completed his second consecutive unbeaten college season.
Last summer, he became the youngest Olympic gold medalist in United States wrestling history at 20 years old. The year before, he became the youngest U.S. world wrestling champion. Now Snyder is the first Olympic gold medalist to return to school and win an NCAA wrestling championship.
