The Chicago Fire are pursuing legendary Chelsea forward Didier Drogba.
Atul Khosla, the Fire’s chief operating officer, tweeted that the team has been talking with Drogba and his representives for the past three weeks.
Drogba earlier confirmed that he is in talks with MLS about a possible deal.
Montreal Impact owner Joey Saputo has said that his team is also interesting is signing the 37-year-old striker from the Ivory Coast.
According to the MLS "discovery process," the Fire would be first in line to acquire Drogba. But if Chicago does not or cannot, Montreal can act.
