Charlie Boyle did it. Again!
The 91-year-old Annapolis-area resident teamed up with three other men in their 90s to break the world record for running in the 4x200 meter relay last month.
The men ran the half-mile race in 5 minutes, 40.82 seconds. Not exactly a record for speed, but according USA Track and Field officials, it was a record for that age group.
Actually, the foursome were the only contenders in their age group.
"It's the age 90 to death group," joked Boyle.
The race took place during the USA Track and Field Masters Indoor Championships held the weekend of March 21-22 in Winston Salem, N.C.
