Clarksville's McFadden named U.S. Paralympic Female Athlete of the Year

Wheelchair racer Tatyana McFadden of Clarksville was named Paralympic Female Athlete of the Year, the United States Olympic Committee announced Thursday. McFadden captured her third straight marathon grand slam, won her first marathon world title and set three T54 world records this year. McFadden broke the New York City Marathon's women's wheelchair course record by 7 minutes, 20 seconds with a time of 1 hour, 43 minutes, 4 seconds.
