Randy Edsall may not be as charismatic as Jim Calhoun or Geno Auriemma, but all three were brought in to build a program. And that's exactly what Edsall has done. Hired in 1998, the program's 27th head coach led UConn's transition to major college football. The Huskies are 58-60 in his tenure, which is highlighted by the opening of Rentschler Field in 2003 and the start of Big East play in 2004.
