Recreation football started in late July with preseason practice and concluded last weekend with the Anne Arundel Youth Football Championships.
Thousands of fans packed the stands at Chesapeake High on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday to cheer on the teams competing in 13 finals held in the American Conference, National Conference and Central Conference.
“I think we’ve had a great season across the board – from age six all the way up to 14-and-under,” AAYFA president Jason Clarke said. “This day right here is what it’s all about. We get the public to come out and support the kids in their championship games.”
