April 27, 1996: Hello Hal, trained and ridden by Billy Meister, wins the 100th running of the Maryland Hunt Cup, a daunting 4-mile steeplechase race in Worthington Valley.

April 23, 1971: In a battle of lacrosse archrivals, St. Paul’s defeats visiting Gilman, 11-4. The Crusaders get a spectacular goal from Don Zimmerman, who fights through five defenders to score. Zimmerman will later coach Johns Hopkins to three NCAA titles, and UMBC for 23 years.
