    A 16-yard touchdown pass from J'Quan Rhymes to Jujuan Young-Battle on the game's opening drive for No. 14 Jones (1-2) was enough to give the Tigers a 7-6 victory against host Gainesville Eastside (1-2). Jones held off Eastside despite being called for numerous penalties and committing two turnovers. T.J. Bryant rushed 10 times for 60 yards, including 48 on the opening drive. Rhymes finished 11-of-22 passing for 95 yards, one touchdown and one interception. &quot;At the end of the game, no matter if you win by 30 or win by one, it doesn't matter as long as you win," Jones coach Kenard Lang said. "We were able to make plays and, shoot, able to make an extra point." Eastside took the opening kick of the third quarter back 70 yards to set up a touchdown, but was unable to convert on the extra-point attempt.
