Sharks keep slim playoffs hopes alive with 3-2 shootout win over Flyers

PHILADELPHIA The "you never know" voices in the Sharks locker room may be a little louder after the Sharks came away with a 3-2 shootout win Saturday over the Philadelphia Flyers. A goal in the fifth round of the shootout by Brent Burns picked up the second point for San Jose after Melker Karlsson's goal in the third round kept the Sharks alive. Jakub Voracek was the only Flyer to get the puck past Sharks goalie Alex Stalock in the one-one-one competition.
