Penguins prevail against Oilers after blowing big lead

PITTSBURGH Steve Downie and the Penguins fourth line salvaged the night Thursday, scoring the game winner at 14:38 of the third period to lead the Penguins to a 6-4 win against the Edmonton Oilers at Consol Energy Center. Patric Hornqvist added an insurance tally at 15:44, as the Penguins mounted a late comeback in a game that nearly got away. The Penguins were routing the struggling Oilers, 4-0, before things turned sour. The Oilers marched back into the game with two goals each in the second and third periods, tying it with just over 10 minutes to play.
