Jeff Seidel: Don't worry, Red Wings are fine without Babcock

At the end of a wild, back-and-forth bidding war, it looked like Mike Babcock was down to three options: get a huge raise and stay home as the coach of the Detroit Red Wings, take ridiculous money to coach a young team in Buffalo or get eye-popping money to coach a bad team in Toronto. What would he do? Should he stay in Detroit for $20 million over five years? The upside was obvious. The Wings have a great owner, a great general manager and he would get to live where his family feels comfortable. Or should he have gone to the Buffalo Sabres and take over a roster filled with young, elite talent? But there is a downside, ahem, to living in Buffalo and having to share rides with Rex Ryan....
