A four-run fourth inning propelled the Durham Bulls to a 5-3 win over Norfolk in front of 12,119 fans Saturday night at Harbor Park in the Tides' home opener.
The attendance was the second-largest home-opening crowd in Harbor Park history, trailing a crowd of 12,134 in 2002.
The Tides (6-4) collected nine singles but went 2-for-10 with runners in scoring position as they saw their winning streak snapped at four games. Christian Walker had two hits and a run, and Norfolk teammates Michael Almanzar and Paul Janish added RBI base hits.
